Must be counting the stewards. There were loads of empty seats. I went and found one at half time so I could actually see the game for a change.

That's the amount of tickets sold. I didn't go today as I was ill, but I still paid for the ticket.

Yes we know but when you have Brady tweeting we have filled the stadium it winds me right up. The spin this regime put out is a amazing.

It's such a huge ground I reckon that's about right. Top support that.

Brady banging on about getting the 66,000 next season, won't matter if they turn up as long as they buy a few STs

9,000 more popcorn Percy's

Loads of empty seats (again) in 113 today.

Strange after spending 10 years in the congested STBL where there always seemed to be more people than seats!

Not really sure why this comes up every week as a stick to beat the Board with, what do you expect them to do force fans who have bought season tickets to turn up

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
I feel sorry for those fans who turned up to watch that shit. Shows they have more loyalty and we need that when we start in the championship next year

Lots of empty is to be expected when the team serves up that dross week in week out

Grasshopper, I don't agree with that. I don't bother much these days but will do if we play in The Championship.

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
I would rather they had just kept the STBL fans together during the move then there wouldn't be any empty seats around me every week as it affects the atmosphere.

Should have put us all in block 125 instead.

grasshopper for some of us it's about more than the 90 minutes of football, so no need to feel sorry for us

Same old threads every time . As it has been explained numerous times , the amount of tickets sold is being counted , this is how it works at every single premier league club

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
We won't be playing in the championship next year.

Bilic is not to blame, he picks a front 3 of Lanzini, Payet and Carroll, where on any planet is that negative?

Blame the players.

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
I've been to away games this season but this was my first visit to to OS today.
A poor 1st half, combined with a subdued crowd and my mind drifted back in time to a similarly inept performance against Preston in the Championship a few years back.

2nd half, Ayew and Fernandez on and we competed, created an atmosphere, nicked a pen and all went home happy.

The bottom line is if the team are playing well the place will sell out

Noticeable on Motd how many empties there were at the Riverside, Stadium of light, Brittania and Arena ( Hawthorns ) stadiums.

Even in these grounds there seems to be a problem filling to capacity at peak times.

I have no problem with empty seats. I just want them to stop the lies and general bullshit hype surrounding the stadium.

56,952 Tickets were sold/given away for this game...
Many didn't show up...

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
Not sure why every game there is the obsession of the empty seats, we all know the reasons, the fact that there was at least 50000 there today is good enough!

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
learnt is would be so much better if the owners were grumpy and negative about the whole stadium.

Re: Today's Attendance 56,952
To play Devils Advocate it was Hull (& Burnley) and I think traditionally the last Saturday before Christmas saw a dip in attendances.
There is a change in the crowd though.
Obviously some have decided they don't like the ground and aren't always coming, there are at least 20,000 who weren't UP regulars and there are definitely bunches of 'OTHER TEAM FANS' who pick and choose their games.
Next season is going to be interesting and we better stay up because there definitely will be a shake up of Upton Park regulars knocking it on the head and NONE of the Part Time Percies and Arsenal fans are going to buy a Championship ticket obviously.
Still we have 50,000 on the waiting list , right?
I suspect that list will be as robust as a list of Italian soldiers who have put their names down to go to the front line.
